CERTIFIED INSTRUCTOR ORGANIZATIONS

The Association encourages its membership to continue developing their knowledge of firearms, safe gun handling practices, shooting skill development, and promotion of the shooting sports.

With this in mind, a list of training organizations is being provided to augment individual club’s training programs as a valuable resource towards promoting these goals. Featured on this page are AGC-approved Certified Instructor Organizations (CIOs).  These CIOs have satisfied the AGC vetting process and provided to the Association’s Executive Committee and Trustees the administrative fees, proof of credentials, legal entity standing, liability insurance, and notarized hold-harmless document.

CIOs interested in being listed on this page should review AGC’s Policy and Procedures Manual, Chapter XV, Certified Instructor Organization, Vetting and Operating Procedures, found here before making the decision to apply for recognition as a CIO.  You are welcome to submit in person the required aforementioned vetting documentation to The Association Secretary for consideration by the Executive Committee.  Upon approval by the Executive Committee, you will be invited to appear before the General Board of Trustees at one of their monthly meetings to present your company and its training plans.  Contact the Association’s Secretary 10-days prior to the meeting to request placement on the agenda. Meetings are held each month on the first Tuesday at 7:00 PM in the Upper Barnes Meeting Room.

In addition to the Association’s Certified Instructor Organizations listed below, you can also find training programs on the NRA website.
